Urinetown the Musical blog
Urinetown was definatley not what I expected at all. It held humor while delivering a great message, which is rare since too many prominant shows and forms of media are made just to entertain. This musical took place in a town that was just like everyone elses before the Stink Years, and even after, the characters could still be empathized by us in their own little troubles. While the whole play together was amazing, my personal favorite scenes were with Little Sally and Officer Lockstock. When either of them opened their mouths, there was bound to be something fun in store. Little Sally was so cute with her questions that actually made sense in the long run and Officer Lockstock was so funny with the way he could casually say anything even though anyone else would laugh. The singing was also amazing, the cast was packed with amazing voices that made me think the whole time that I wasn't listening to a school play, but a professional one with talented youth, which they were either way. This musical was a must-see and for those who didn't, buy the DVD, it's so worth it.
